Manufacturing Scheduling

Manufacturing Production Scheduling and Tracking system integrates shop floor activity to calculate accurate Job completion.

“We’ve been able to give our customer real delivery dates and adhere to them. I don’t know if you can put a price tag on that.”

Armand Roy
VP Engineering, Craft Inc.

The Production Scheduling system continuously calculates accurate Job completion based on:

  • Production quantity scheduled
  • Shift production schedule:
  • Current average cycle time or production rate
  • Machine setup/change-over time
  • Individual machine efficiency factors and constraints
  • Planned preventive maintenance schedule
Progress of currently running jobs ahead in queue

Visual, drag and drop scheduler lets you run “what if” scenarios to see the impact of proposed changes.

Job run time is displayed as a horizontal block on an adjustable time scale (hour, day, week, etc.) A job block outlined in red and yellow indicates the job won’t meet its scheduled date, or the tool/die/mold is already running, or is scheduled to run on another Job. When a production order is loaded to a machine and it exceeds the resources capacities (eg., a tool, mold, printing plate, die etc., is already scheduled or in use), a visual warning is displayed. When Jobs are moved from one machine to another the Job Standards data automatically updates to match the new machine’s operating characteristics.

The system displays Job Hours to Go to alert toolroom, maintenance and setup personnel in advance to prepare for Job change in a timely manner.

With Web-enabled production scheduling you can coordinate multiple production operations in real-time.

Coordinate production between multiple facilities with the Enterprise Visibility Module. Sales personnel can use the module to provide accurate delivery estimates to customers from anywhere at any time.

Integrate manufacturing operations with any ERP/MRPII system.

The Advanced ERP Interface will automatically download production requirements from the ERP system. It will automatically assign each Job to a specified machine or place them in the “bullpen” for the Scheduler to assign them. At Job and Shift end the Interface exports parts count, work in process, material consumed, direct labor and timing of job starts, completions and status. See more on our ERP Interface page.

"We realized a reduction in setup times of 40%, or 1,941 hours annually. The ROI works out to be approximately 3 months."

David Elks - General Manager, SciMed Precision, Trajan Scientific and Medical

“We saved 2-3 hours per day per supervisor from each shift, and 5 hours per day for Data Entry.”

Tom Goecke - Akro Mills

“Reduced die maintenance resets due to the PM program has saved us almost $8,000 per year.”

Dennis Herdegen - Etco Engineered Products
